Swedish Salary Administration
Salary Administration involves a number of different activities: gathering and registering information relating to the terms of employment and the events that influence the salary, calculating and paying the net salary each month, preparing a salary specification, calculating taxes and deductions, paying payroll taxes, calculating and paying employer social taxes, calculating and paying employee pensions, archiving, and maintaining relevant documentation and files. Salary administration also entails compensation for travel expenses (such as work-related trips), compensation for pharmaceuticals (such as travel related vaccinations), compensation for other expenses, as well as administration of insurance-related issues.
Employer Responsibilities
Human Resource administration requires notifying the Swedish Social Insurance Agency when an employee is sick or injured - this applies to both work related and non-work related illnesses and injuries in order for an employee to receive benefits. Companies can also be help responsible for providing rehabilitation for work related injuries and illnesses. APS also provides local support for employees that have questions or need help with payroll and social benefit related issues.
Security Environment
APS maintains a high level of security including segregated computing infrastructure; multi-site data and file storage using military grade encryption standards; and secure, fireproof archival storage facilities. Our IT security systems meet or exceed US, UK, and Swedish government and military standards for handling high security information.
Archive and Disaster Recovery Environment
APS maintains multiple, separated facilities in Sweden where encrypted data is stored (including our offices in Stockholm and Uppsala) with spare computing systems in order to facilitate data backup and recovery. Based on customer directives, APS can maintain archival storage to comply with Swedish regulations or all information, once designated as obsolete by the customer, can be destroyed.
