Common employment agreement clauses include:
Specification of a probationary period - Probationary periods are regulated by law and can have a maximum duration of six months. During the probationary period, either the company or the employee can decide to terminate the employment relationship. Once an employee has completed their probationary period, the company is subject to strict rules and regulations concerning termination of the employee.
Representation company protective clauses - Representation companies need to include protective clauses in their employment agreements/contracts that prohibit certain acts that could lead the Swedish Tax Authority to reclassify an organization as having a permanent establishment in Sweden (an action that has a significant tax and regulatory impact on a company).

Visa Help and Tax Relief for Foreign Key Personnel
AHR can provide assistance with employment based visas for temporary and permanent postings in Sweden. AHR is also experienced in helping individuals apply for the Tax Relief for Foreign Key Personnel, which applies to executives, experts, researchers, and others. Key provisions of this tax relief policy include a 25% reduction in income taxes on all salary and benefits for the employee and a 25% reduction in the social taxes paid by the employer. Certain benefits such as moving costs, children's schooling, and home travel are tax exempt. The tax relief benefit is available for up to three years. AHR can provide a preliminary assessment on the likelihood that an individual will qualify for tax relief and can assist in preparing the application. The application for tax relief must be made within the first three months from the date that employment started.
AHR reduces the workload of the HR department by working directly with the employee to make sure that all of the application forms are correctly filled out and that all of the required supporting documentation is included with the application packet. AHR also coordinates with the employer to make sure that applicable employer forms have been properly filled out and that required signatures have been obtained. Other Types of Visas
The visa application process is a fairly simple process in Sweden. Work related visas are typically given priority in being processed over other types of visas. Student and education related visas are also given a higher priority. In general, AHR can assist in any visa application; however, we cannot guarantee that a particular visa will be granted by the Swedish Immigration Board. Any decision to issue a visa rests solely with the Swedish Immigration Board.
Non-employment Based Relationship Visas
AHR can assist with other types of visas including visas based on marriage or sambo relationships. This service is offered as a convenience based on the familiarity of the visa application process that our staff has. Having AHS assist in preparing a relationship based visa will help in making sure that the initial application is correctly submitted; however, the time required to process the application by the Swedish Immigration Board will not be impacted.
Student and Visiting Researcher Visas
This category of visa must be applied for in conjunction with a Swedish education institution. All Swedish education institutions have staff that are available to assist with the visa application process. While AHR can assist with this type of visa, the free support provided by Swedish education institutions is typically adequate.
Refugee Visas
AHR does not provide assistance to individuals seeking to apply for a Swedish refugee visa. If you require assistance in this area, you should consult with a Swedish attorney that specializes in refugee related immigration law.
EU Citizen Support
EU Citizens must register with the Swedish Tax Authority if they are employed in Sweden or intending to stay for an extended time period. AHR can provide assistance in in filling out the applicable forms required for registration and for applying for social benefits (e.g. monthly child benefit, child education, parental leave benefit, sickness benefits, etc.).
